Caesar Salad Dressing Recipe

Caesar salad is one of my favorite salads.  I love making it as a side for weeknight dinner topped with grilled chicken or steak.  For parties, you can make a tray of Caesar salad and feed a good number of people.  This Caesar salad dressing recipe is easy to make and requires basic pantry ingredients.  Trust me, it’s a crowd pleaser.

Caesar Salad
Ingredients for Caesar Salad Dressing
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • sal and pepper – 1/8 teaspoon of each
Salad Dressing Preparation

Combine the ingredients in a small bowl or measuring cup, and stir until smooth.  That’s it!

Place the dressing  in the refrigerator until ready to serve.  I found measuring cups with lids (see image above) which are perfect for storing leftover dressing (if you have any leftovers).

This recipe makes 6 servings.  For parties, I double the recipe which yields enough dressing for a salad tray.

Ingredients for Caesar Salad Tray
  • 3 hearts Romaine lettuce
  • 1 bag croutons
  • 1 container shaved parmesan cheese

Tip:  When I’m prepping for an event, I’ll clean and cut the romaine lettuce the night before.  Cover the tray with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator.  In the morning, I’ll make the dressing.  I’ll wait until I’m ready to serve the salad to add the croutons and parmesan cheese.

You can use this homemade salad dressing on a traditional Caesar salad or your favorite salad combination.  Give this recipe a try or read more side dish recipes.

Buen provecho!
