I started a new job in February.  This is my first holiday season with the team, so I wanted to make handmade gifts for my coworkers.  Here are some gifts for coworkers which won’t break the bank, and wrapping ideas which will make them extra special.

Goats Milk Soap

Start by reading my tutorial for making goats milk soap.  My latest batch of soap is gardenia-scented and exfoliating due to the addition of coffee.  Gardenia is one of my favorite floral scents.  Your kitchen will smell heavenly as you prepare your soaps.

There are two ways to wrap your soap.

1. You can wrap a set of four small soaps in a gift box tied with ribbon.  Dollar Tree has great gift boxes and you can’t beat the price.  The gift boxes shown on this page and in the soap making tutorial are from Dollar Tree.  Tie them with a classic grosgrain ribbon bow to finish off.  Here’s a tutorial from MarthaStewart.com for a classic ribbon bow.
2. You can wrap a set of two small soaps in a 6″ x 3.75″ favor bag and tie with a custom printed ribbon.  I created a custom ribbon with “Happy Holidays! Jackie” using P-Touch Embellish 1/2″ red satin ribbon from Michaels.  Stay tuned for a tutorial for the custom ribbon.

Crochet Cowl

If you enjoy crocheting, cowls and scarves are easy projects which make great gifts for your coworkers.  I’m gifting this cowl to my manager.  It’s made with Lion Brand Scarfie yarn.  This gift box is another example of the variety in size, shape and designs available at Dollar Tree, especially during the holiday season.

Fun Stationery & Office Supplies

My team mate Kelly and I share a love for stationery and office supplies.  Yes, we’re nerds.  She and I purchased pencil highlighters from CWPencils.com.  If you haven’t heard of these pencils, you need to give them a try.  They will change your life.  This glass pencil sharpener is from Flying Tiger.  I filled it with pink paper shred for a little color, placed in a favor bag, then tied with custom ribbon.  Kelly is going to love it.
